Redefining cycling as a team sport

Our story

Where it all began

Born in 2025 in Malta, Bike It Up Racing is the evolution of the long-standing Birkirkara St. Joseph cycling legacy, reborn with bold ambition, youthful energy and a fresh vision for the future.

We’re more than a cycling team. We’re a tight-knit group of friends who ride, race, explore and push each other to new heights. Family first, teammates second, because great results start with great people.

What makes us unique is simple. We’re fierce competitors with a fun-loving soul. Creativity drives us, inclusivity defines us, and teamwork fuels every climb, sprint and finish line. Whether tearing into a breakaway, grinding through gravel, flying over MTB trails or welcoming beginners on their first group ride, we carry the same spirit: ride hard, laugh harder, and always lift each other up.

What drives us

Our mission

Our mission is to build a strong, supportive foundation for Malta’s cyclists and triathletes, giving athletes the environment, culture and opportunities they need to compete locally, shine abroad and elevate Malta’s name in the world of endurance sports.

On the bike

Our goal is bold and direct: to become Malta’s leading and most recognisable cycling and triathlon team.

Off the bike

We’re committed to promoting cycling as a sport, a lifestyle and a sustainable way of moving through the world, while nurturing teamwork, discipline and lifelong friendship.

United like family. Racing as one.
Stronger together, faster together.
Year one

Already making our mark

In our very first year as Bike It Up Racing, we’ve already made our mark: podiuming the local GC in the Tour of Malta against seasoned pros, storming to national championship podiums, claiming our first local win with a dominant 1–2 finish in our first race, and stepping onto international podiums in Avola and Ragusa.

And in one of our proudest moments, team rider John Camilleri became the first Maltese cyclist to represent Malta at the Deaflympics in Tokyo 2025.

The road ahead

We’re only getting started

With riders across road, MTB, gravel and triathlon, from beginners to elite racers, we’re only getting started. The road ahead is full of challenges, victories, dirt, sweat and unforgettable memories. We’re ready to keep building, keep growing and keep showing up, at home and abroad.

Because at the end of the day, everyone is one ride away from a good mood… especially when that ride is in great company.
